Derek also brings a diverse professional background as an entrepreneur and business leader, with experience spanning startups, private equity partnerships, and Fortune 10 corporations. His career has given him the opportunity to travel and work in nearly every state in the nation, connecting with people from all walks of life and developing a strong understanding of what matters most to the people he serves.

Derek and his lovely wife, Kimberly, currently reside in Bentonia, Mississippi, where they are proud parents, grandparents, and active members of their church.
